Description

The MSMessageBox component is a non-visual component that allows you to display a customizable Windows message box.

Customizations include:

•  Setting the top and left positions of the message box
• Displaying a user supplied icon in place of the system icons
• Setting the color of the message text
• Hide/show the caption bar of the message box
• Setting border style of message box
• Setting the background color of the message box

MSMessageBox provides all of the functionality of the Windows message box as well as all of the features mentioned above. Which allows you to tailor the message box to better suit your application.

This component can be used in any application that supports COM interfaces, such as: VBScript, VBA, JScript, Visual Basic, C++, Visual Basic.NET, C#, and HTML

Remarks

This object provides the methods, properties, and enumerations that allow you to display a customizable Windows message box. You use this object by first setting all of the desired properties and then calling the Show method. Like the Windows message box, you can set different button styles alone with an icon.

 Use the exposed properties to determine if the message box will display an icon, or not show one; set the background to match a theme or setting in the calling application; position the message box to any location on the screen; or change the message text to match the type of message being displayed. For example, set the text color to red for a error condition, or to blue for a warning state
