Description

The FileUtilX component contains several objects that provides file manipulation
functions such as file monitoring, file and directory enumeration; disk space queries;
splitting large files into multiple smaller files; file copies; and file moves; with progress status.

Remarks

This component contains objects that have similar functionality to the FileSystemObject
object, providing file copies and moves. This component is intended as an extension to the
FileSystemObject, giving the user progress information with copies and moves.

Uses for this component include

• Monitoring directories and/or files for changes to its status, whether it be creation, deletion, or attribute changes.
• File and directory copy/move with a progess dialog.
• File copy/move of an array of file names,not necessarily residing in the same directory.
• File copy/move of an array of file names,providing an array of names that the source files
  will be renamed with. Including automatic file name collision renaming, much like the Windows
  Shell does with copies of the same name.
• Directory searches for specific files or file types.
• Splitting large files into smaller file parts for storage onfloppy disks. A batch file that is
  built along with the split files accomplishes recombination of the split files.
