The DateUtilXcomponent exposes methods and properties that allow you to easily manipulate date and calendar date types, including support for business related date functionality. This business functionality includes methods to retrieve business days from a given date, extraction of start and ending quarters for a given date.
With this component you can store and manipulate holidays, organizational, departmental, or personal dates. The exposed methods allow you to: add and modify events, test to see if a given date is one of the stored events, and remove events.
Languages like Visual Basic and C++ can access this component through a normal COM interface. Scripting languages like VBScript and Jscript can access this component through an automation interface (Idispatch interface). Currently there is one interface (ICalendarUtils) to access the CalendarUtils object.
This component allows for easy manipulation of the C++ DATE data type.
Names of months and weekdays can be returned in its long-form or abbreviated form.
Using the holiday methods, you can also store and retrieve company or personal events.
